"If you wish to use other antenna connector styles (FME, etc.) you need to purchase the right adapters or different pigtails" N-Female was chosen due to easy acquisition and wide standards acceptance. The downside is that it's a rather large connector. The GPS setup can use any NMEA serial GPS with the USB-to-Serial adapter. Be sure it exports GGA sentences at the least. Alternatively (and untested) you could use a direct USB GPS system such as the Garmin GPS18-USB and skip the USB-Serial part. "The webcam is a standalone system. Many other types of wired, wireless or baseband cameras could be used." It has no real relation to the Stompbox itself other than some preconfigured scripts I set up for the project. "You can use the USB to PCMCIA adapter of your choice, be it 1.1 or 2.0. Just make sure it's Linux compatible. Most are."
